From the outside it doesn't look like much... On the inside it's your pretty standard old time 30-50 seater restaurant, small but quaint, could use some updating.
Now my girlfriend, her mum and grandmother have been here on several occasions and I decided it was time for me to get at it.
I was feeling bold and manly, so I had the 3 piece fish and chips. It was delicious and filling. Not filling to the point where I wanted to be sick, but filling enough where I wouldn't need supper that night. The batter was light and the fries were delicious and hot. I can't have fries without cold ketchup, and they even had that
They do take out as well. Our server was very nice and attentive and the washrooms were clean and fresh -

I've been eating at sams since it opened , it's a family favorite however I hadn't eaten there in a few months and now wish I hadn't , the service was terrible from the start I watched 2 tables walk out as they hadn't even been spoken to within 15 min of sitting down it did take along time for myself and my dad to be asked what we would like to drink but not as long as the other 2 as they weren't spoken to at all , the restaurant wasn't really busy I am a server and know when it is busy and it wasn't and 3 waitress were working at the time they could have easily have handled it .
After finally getting the food We ordered everything had changed the coleslaw the the fries and most important the fish and not for the better . The fish seemed to have come out of box and the fries out of a bag and the coleslaw out of a bucket .
I didn't complain but really couldn't if I wanted to as no one did a check on the table and tried to get their attention for more tarter with no success , so when we were finished we got up and went to the counter and I asked the manger were they under new ownership she said no and I said everything has changed , she responded with its for the better and I said I didn't find that it was better and she shrugged her shoulders at me and said oh well , I couldn't believe what I was seeing and hearing . So I paid and said I'd never be back and I don't write these things but I felt the need as this experience had more to it then that . sams should question who he has working for him as the front of house staff set the tone for their guests -

Thought we'd stop and try this place Sunday for supper. I ordered the special Lamb Chops with Greek salad, roast potatoes and rice for $12.95 as was clearly written on their dry erase sandwich board in the main entranceway.
After the waitress dropped a platter of ice water on the floor splashing my wife and the table, she serves me a plate of pork chops and fries. After explaining to her that isn't what I ordered, she yanks out her pad of paper and shows me she wrote down "pork" and that I ordered pork.
Anyways, the other waitress told me this happens a lot and told me they would bring me my correct order which I received 15 minutes later (after my wife finished her dinner)
This is an old Pizza Hut building and they have one of the entrances "out of use" causing us to walk around the whole perimeter of the building looking for the other entrance after having to park across the street because the parking lot was obviously designed for nothing bigger than a Smartcar or medium sized motorcycle.
The food wasn't bad after waiting 45 minutes and getting the complimentary shower but it wasn't even Lamb Chops, is was a single cut up chop.
Then when the bill came there was an additional $2 charge to get bumped to the Lamb from the pork.
I won't be returning, she's a little too rustic for me. -

We went to the Baker Drive location for dinner then ended up at the Main Street location for desert (half our party went to the Main Street by accident). We started off with the party platter. It had deep fried mushroom, zucchini sticks, mozza sticks and onion rings. All of the items tasted like it was frozen.
My husband and I had the 1/2 rack of ribs with fries, coleslaw, and a bun for $17.99. The ribs were tasty and meaty. But that was the only good thing on the plate. The fries were hand cut, but soggy. The bun was stale. The coleslaw had no flavour.
My daughter ate a club and fries, but they costed extra and the waitress failed to mention this when she asked. She said the club was good, but the fries were still soggy.
My parents both had fish and chips. They enjoyed the taste and the pieces of fish were big. Again, soggy fries and for a restaurant that has 'seafood' in its name they don't make their own tartar sauce!
We ended up going to the Main Street location to have desert with the rest of our group. My husband and I tried the creme brûlée cheesecake. It tasted like it has been sitting in the cardboard box for too long.
Overall a disappointing meal. They have taken the easiest things to make tasty and fresh and failed on all of them. -

This is my first review so be kind!
I went here today, the timing for service and portions were good. The good I did not enjoyed. I had a small poutine se of the fries were not cooked along with the cheese curds that were cold. My waitress made me a Caesar. I asked for mild and she put way too much Winchester in it and argued with me. She was really rude.
She didn't properly set our table- no ketchup and threw the forks and knives on the table to let us scavenged like animals.
Later that night, I called to complain to Mangement, the lady was really rude about mangement not being there and hung up rudely.
I will never go there again.
